چکیده

This paper presents a new voltage support (VS) strategy for photovoltaic (PV) systems based on sensitivity analysis to enhance the dynamic stability (DVS) of islanded microgrids (MGs). Every network contains different characteristics. In particular, MGs have unique features compared utility grids such as high resistance reactance ratio (R/X). Consequently, injection both active and reactive current is likely improve DVS MG. Therefore, instead engaging entire capacity which performed in conventional strategy, injected proposed strategy. On contrary, without considering fact that each distinctive characteristics, other strategies with provide fixed are uniform all networks. To convey VS subject used As consequence, unlike strategies, provides combination every network. The concept derivation clearly described. Network carried out determine coefficients. effectiveness theoretically demonstrated also strategies. Case studies two MGs. results show capable enhancing by mitigating possible instability, restoring faster than

Voltage stability assessment for distributed generation in islanded microgrid system

The increasing energy demands are stressing the generation and transmission capabilities of the power system. Distributed generation (DG), which generally located in distribution systems, has the ability to meet some of the growing energy demands. However, unplanned application of individual distributed generators might cause other technical problems. The Microgrid concept has the potential to ...

Droop Controller Limitation for Voltage Stability in Islanded Microgrid

The motivation to develop microgrids (MG), as a particular form of active networks is explained and presented as an effective solution for the control of grids. In MGs, with high level of penetration of Distributed Energy Resources, the stability becomes an important issue. Some control characteristics of elements such as droop coefficients in VSI highly affect voltage and frequency stability. ...

A New Control Strategy for Voltage Restoration and Voltage Unbalance Compensation in an Islanded Droop-Controlled Microgrid

Low voltage microgrids including sensitive loads often face unbalanced load conditions. Therefore, a compensation procedure should be carried out in order to balance and restore sensitive load’s voltage. In this paper, an effective voltage control strategy has been proposed for the autonomous operation of microgrids, under unbalanced load conditions.  The proposed strategy balances single-phase...

Gain Scheduling Control of an Islanded Microgrid Voltage

The aim of this research study has been to design a gain scheduling (GS) digital controller in order to control the voltage of an islanded microgrid in the presence of fast varying loads (FVLs), and to compare it to a robust controller. The inverter which feeds the microgrid is connected to it through an inductance-capacitor-inductance (LCL) filter. The oscillatory and nonlinear behaviour of th...

A Control Strategy for Flywheel Energy Storage System for Frequency Stability Improvement in Islanded Microgrid

The Micro-Grid (MG) stability is a significant issue that must be maintained in all operational modes. Usually, two control strategies can be applied to MG; V/f control and PQ control strategies. MGs with V/f control strategy should have some Distributed Generators (DGs) which have fast responses versus load changes. The Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS) has this characteristic. The FESS, w...
